Ready-to-install and seamless: wedi continues to expand its range of design surfaces
Tailored design, pleasant mood lighting, fast and safe installation: the bathroom and wet room specialist wedi is further expanding its Top Line. The new products combine creative design with longevity – ideal for renovations and modernisations. wedi will present these along with other new innovations at the BAU 2023 in Munich in April.
The renovation of showers and bathrooms in old buildings often poses a particular challenge to the installer. In most cases, special solutions are necessary. "We have responded to this demand with a floor-level shower element designed especially for suspended timber floors" says Vanessa Beer, product manager at wedi. "The Fundo Ligno Plus has a low installation height of 23 mm, allowing for quick and easy integration into the existing wooden layer without having to build up further height" - emphasizes Beer.
Modern look for old buildings
The modern look in the bathroom is ensured by the perfectly fitting, ready-to-install Fundo Top Ligno Plus design surface. "The large-format, seamless surface, available in assorted sizes, contributes significantly to the design of a modern and sophisticated shower area. In addition, the surface is non-slip, extremely easy to clean and installed in no time at all" explains wedi product manager Sebastian Hinze.
This also applies to the other two new design surfaces, the Fundo Top Integro and Fundo Top Riolito. A special innovation: the Fundo Top Riolito is the first and only wedi design surface for linear drainage with counter-slope. "This eliminates the burdensome, time-consuming installation and grouting that is necessary with tiling. What's more, showers with a Fundo Top design surface are extremely low-maintenance thanks to the antibacterial surface and grout-free design" explains Hinze.
The ready-to-install Fundo Top surfaces, together with corresponding wedi Fundo shower elements, form a perfectly coordinated and water resistant system. The required gradient is already integrated into each shower element and is matched for the corresponding design surface.
Warm light in the shower
The illuminated Sanwell Top LED niche is also new in the wedi Top Line. Due to its pleasantly warm mood light, storage is turned into a design object – in showers as well as in steam baths. Thanks to the fully assembled lighting technology, it can be installed without milling, fastening, gluing or sealing. "The precisely designed LED light strip is 'made in Germany' and corresponds to protection class IP67. In addition, its installation is not only straightforward but is also quick thanks to its 'Plug & Play' technology" explains wedi product manager Sebastian Hinze. The seamless look in five colours perfectly matches all other design surfaces of the wedi Top Line.
