wedi Top Line: even more freedom of design for bathrooms
There is an increased demand on modern bathroom design – in particular, for such solutions that are well-thought-out and easy to implement . "To cope with this demand, we will be launching further options for our ready-to- install Top design surfaces in the coming year," says Volkmar Harnischmacher, Head of Sales Channel Management & Marketing at wedi. There are already eight colours available in different textures. These include three recently launched designs with modern mineral material composition and integrated flakes made from 100% recycled material.
"Well-thought-out comprehensive and efficient solutions that help to relieve the workload on site will become increasingly important for future-proof bathrooms," says Volkmar Harnischmacher, summarizing the current trend. System solutions including design surfaces are a pioneering approach: especially since wedi Top water resistant design surfaces are precisely matched to other wedi system components. They are preformed to fit wedi Fundo shower elements and wedi functional design elements – such as the wedi Sanoasa bench 3 or the wedi Sanwell niche for example. Large-format wedi Top Walls can be used for the cladding of walls and other surfaces in the bathroom. Equally perfect for new builds and refurbishment projects, they transform every bathroom into a modern oasis of well-being in no time at all.
Large-format and easy to install
Only a few steps are required: thanks to their thickness of only 6mm they are not only easy to cut, but also lightweight allowing for a straightforward and easy installation. "Openings, drill holes and gradients are perfectly matched to corresponding wedi XPS elements," says Harnischmacher. The precisely fitting surfaces are simply bonded to the subsurface with wedi 610 adhesive and sealant. In contrast to traditional tiled surfaces, processors save much time since conventional work steps or long drying times are no longer required.
If you need a special format, you can cut wedi Top design surfaces yourself – all you need is a hand-held circular saw.
